Arc of Onondaga Foundation
Arc of Onondaga Foundation, an organization which supports, raises funds, and provides a continual financial source for the benefit of individuals with developmental disabilities who are supported by Arc of Onondaga, and other service providers, is accepting applications for the Board of Managers.
Mission of Organization: Established in 2002 to ensure the financial future of Arc of Onondaga by securing community support, the Foundation builds community support through individual contributions, planned giving and special events. Support for the Arc of Onondaga Foundation is a powerful statement of involvement, compassion and commitment to people with developmental disabilities, promoting hope for a life of inclusion, independence and productivity for all individuals.
Board Members serve a three-year term and attend quarterly meetings (approximately 1 ½ hours). Members are encouraged to serve on standing committees: Development, Investment, Nominating and Event Support Committees (Dinner and Race). Board members are expected to make a meaningful annual financial contribution, support the efforts of the Annual Appeal, and attend special events (Achievement Awards Dinner and Arc Race) throughout the year.
Individuals with marketing/community relations/fundraising experience and a passion for helping people with developmental disabilities are encouraged to apply.
