Vera House Seeks Board Member and Committee Candidates
Vera House prevents, responds and partners to end domestic and sexual violence and other forms of abuse. They are currently seeking LGS grads who may be interested in joining their board of directors or White Ribbon Steering Committee, Property Management/Exploration Committee and Gala Committee.
Board terms are three years with the ability to renew for a total of two terms. The board meets the third Tuesday of every month from 5:30-7 p.m. except for July when there is no meeting. They seek 100 percent participation in a board campaign: support and promote Vera House’s funding efforts in line with one’s abilities, make financial contributions when personal resources allow, and support and attend agency fundraising events.
At this time, they are looking specifically for finance professionals to take on the role of treasurer in 2023 and for those with property development/management experience. Board members are expected to commit to internal and personal anti-racism/anti-oppression work that is being led by the board and staff.
