Leadership Greater Syracuse Announces the Graduation of its 34^rd Class

(December 4, 2024 – East Syracuse, New York) – after a year-long immersive experience in Leadership Greater Syracuse’s flagship program, a class of 51 participants will be celebrating their graduation tonight. The full-year program provides participants with professional and personal leadership skills that they will use going forward to benefit their employers, families, and the Syracuse community. The Leadership Greater Syracuse (LGS) Class of 2024 celebrated their graduation on:

Leadership Greater Syracuse’s flagship program is an in-depth, experiential learning program that immerses participants into the achievements, challenges, and changes happening in the Central New York Community. “Graduates have gained knowledge about our community and critical leadership skills that will enable them to affect positive change in many areas of their lives. They are eager to use what they’ve learned to benefit the Syracuse community,” said LGS Executive Director Michele Diecuch.

For 34 years, LGS participants have represented employees from a cross-section of 500+ local employers, including corporations, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and start-ups. This diversity in program participants leads to interactions and relationships that they likely would not have experienced elsewhere.

LGS’s unique experiential learning curriculum design is the key to the success of the program. Robin Macaluso, LGS Program Director, said “This year’s graduates have shown remarkable commitment to personal growth, collaboration, and our community. From stepping out of their comfort zones to embracing the challenges of leadership, they’ve not only grown as individuals but also strengthened the bonds that make a community thrive. I’m honored to celebrate their journey and excited for the impact they’ll continue to make.”

LGS’s mission is to inspire current and future leaders to make a difference in the community where we live and work. Leadership Greater Syracuse was founded in 1990 by CenterState CEO, Onondaga County, the City of Syracuse, and Onondaga Community College. LGS is financially supported by many organizations including United Radio, Turning Stone Resort Casino, Community Bank, and VIP Structures.
