The application process for the LGS Class of 2020 is now open!
Thank you for your interest in Leadership Greater Syracuse! By completing this application, you are taking a giant step toward building your personal and professional skills and strengthening our community.
If you believe in our community and want to do your part to make it even better, you are qualified to be in LGS! Final candidates are selected through an inclusive process that creates a class reflective of the CNY community. This includes: gender, age, race/ethnicity, physical ability, profession, business sector, and community involvement.
The application can take 20-30 minutes to complete and you will have the opportunity to save and return to the application. As part of the application, you will need to include the email address of your supervisor so that LGS can be assured that he/she is aware of the time commitment and cost, should you be accepted into the program.
The deadline to complete the application is midnight, August 31st, 2019. As a part of this application process, candidates will be asked to pay a $30 application fee.
All applicants will be contacted each Fall to schedule a 30-minute interview.
LGS participation requires a time commitment of a two-day overnight retreat in January followed by 10 monthly, full day classes (8 a.m. – 5 p.m., typically the second Wednesday of the month). The class day schedule is provided at the interview. Each class member will also help plan two class days during the year which requires additional meeting time. These meeting times will be set based on team member schedules.
If a participant misses more than 16 hours of class time, they will be excused from the program.
If selected, tuition of $3,750, is due December 31, 2019. If you need a payment plan, please indicated this on the application. Tuition assistance is available and can be requested as part of the application process.
