Leadership Greater Syracuse Welcomes New Board Members

Leadership Greater Syracuse (LGS) is pleased to announce two new members of its board of directors – Sarah Just from Turning Stone Resort Casino and Stefanie Savory from AccessCNY. Both will serve a three-year term.

Sarah Just is the Director of Sales at Turning Stone Resort Casino. She is an accomplished event professional with nearly 15 years’ experience in the hospitality industry. Sarah is currently responsible for leading the Group Sales team at Turning Stone Resort Casino. A graduate of the LGS class of 2020, Sarah also currently serves on both the LGS Marketing Committee and Interview Committee.

Stefanie Savory serves as In-house Counsel and the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Program Director at AccessCNY.  As a member of the Executive Leadership team, Stefanie engages in strategic planning, program development, and provides legal support to and for AccessCNY while leading a program dedicated to advocating for youth in foster care. Stefanie is a graduate of the LGS Class of 2022 and participates in the LGS Program Committee, Interview Committee, and in fundraising events.

LGS also welcomed Ryan McDermott as Board President. Ryan, a graduate of the LGS Class of 2011, is the Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking at M&T Bank.

Additional officers elected for a one-year term include:

  • Vice President: Renae Rokicki, Senior Leadership and Development Coordinator at SUNY Upstate Medical University (LGS Class of 2014)
  • Treasurer: Joe Rocco, Audit Partner of Bowers & Company (LGS Class of 2021)
  • Secretary: Rebecca Hoda-Kearse, Executive People Officer at SUNY ESF (LGS Class of 2015)
