Leadership Greater Syracuse Announces the Graduation of its 33rd Class

(December 5, 2023 – East Syracuse, New York) – A class of 52 participants will be graduating Leadership Greater Syracuse’s flagship program after attending a full year of classes throughout 2023. After graduating, they will be equipped with the professional knowledge and new connections to take forward and benefit their employers and fellow community members. The Leadership Greater Syracuse (LGS) Class of 2023 will celebrate their graduation on:

The Leadership Greater Syracuse flagship program is an in-depth experience that immerses participants in the challenges and the achievements of our community. “Participants have developed new leadership skills and lifelong professional and personal connections during their experience. They are eager to use what they’ve learned to benefit the Syracuse community,” said LGS Executive Director Michele Diecuch.

Each year, LGS participants represent employees from a cross-section of local employers, including corporations, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and start-ups. To date, more than 300 employers have enriched their workforce by supporting employees’ participation in LGS’s flagship program. Approximately 85 percent of LGS’s 1,500 graduates remain in CNY, and they’ve held 800 volunteer positions.

Diecuch said, “As the new executive director of LGS, I’ve been inspired by watching LGS’s unique experiential learning curriculum design and how profoundly it changes the perspectives and visions of its 52 participants.”

LGS’s mission is to inspire current and future leaders to make a difference in the community where we live and work. Leadership Greater Syracuse was founded in 1991 by CenterState CEO, Onondaga County, the City of Syracuse, and Onondaga Community College.  LGS is financially supported by many organizations including United Radio, Community Bank, Turning Stone Resort Casino, VIP Structures, and National Grid.
