Interested in supporting healthy choices and addiction prevention?

Prevention Network implements and supports strategies promoting healthy choices that prevent addictions and address related concerns. They are currently seeking board and committee members who align with their values:

Service: To provide support, services, and opportunities to our community in a caring and confidential manner.

Respect: To honor the humanity and dignity of all in a compassionate and empathetic manner.

Education: To provide accurate, updated, culturally appropriate information, strategies, and research-proven modalities to the community.

Commitment: To demonstrate a dedication and passion for our work in a proactive style.

Wellness: To maintain a spiritual, emotional, and physical balance that fosters creativity, flexibility, self-motivation and personal health in the lives of individuals.

With the exception of August, the board currently meets once a month at noon, for 1-1.5 hours. Meetings are held in person at Prevention Network, unless otherwise indicated.

Committees meet as needed, except for the Finance Committee, which meets once per month, the day prior to the full Board meeting for approximately 1 to 1 ½ hours depending on agenda.

There is no financial obligation for the board, however, an annual gift of $100 to cover board lunches is appreciated. Board terms are three years.

Specific areas of board development include, but are not limited to, individuals who are –

  • Under 40 years old
  • Have marketing and/or fundraising experience
  • Familiar with non-profit policies and procedures
  • In recovery from a substance use disorder or deep interest in agency mission.

This is an active Board of Directors and in lieu of financial contributions; the expectation is full participation with meeting attendance and participation in select board activities and Prevention Network functions when applicable.
