About SVE

SVE is an elite, selective chamber choral ensemble. We nurture an appreciation for the art of chamber choral singing by consistently performing innovative and outstanding choral programs. We provide unique, transcendent, and educational experiences for audiences and an opportunity for exceptional local singers to demonstrate their skills and artistry. SVE is committed to maintaining low ticket prices, community engagement and inclusivity. We rely mainly on donations and grants to bring our programs to our audience. SVE has been presenting choral performances to central New York audiences since 1973. The group’s repertoire spans music from the 14th century to the present day, including commissioned works and pieces from around the globe. The group’s artistry and range of repertoire have resulted in numerous invitations to collaborate with such groups as the Dave Brubeck Quartet, Open Hand Theatre, Society for New Music, the Skaneateles Festival, and the former Syracuse Symphony Orchestra.

SVE is a 501(c)3 organization.
